Sat, Apr 18, 2009 -- 0903AL-CHEMT0688: Tutorial and Class Test
Dear 0903 PM10,
I heard that some of you are facing some difficulties while doing the tutorial, don’t worry, don’t press the panic button. The purpose of giving you those questions are to allow you to learn chapter 3 through questions. You might not be able to find all the answers to the questions by just referring to my notes, you have to do some extra research on your own or maybe some thinking while doing those questions. Remember I have taught you guys on chapter 3 so use the knowledge and get involve in some analyzing and critical thinking and I believe you will be able to answer my questions. If all fail just show me that you have at least try to attempt those questions (Show me your effort). We are going to discuss the tutorial this coming Tuesday.
* Reminder: Class resumes this Tuesday (21/04/2009)
** Class test on: Chapter 1, 2 and 3(everything that I have taught you). 5 structured questions and 10 objective questions. Answer all in question paper. Duration: 1 hour.
Expected on 23/04/09.
Happy studying!
Regards,
Mr. Lucas Chan
Ps: So prepare for the test probably on thurs

ReplyDeletehaha, i scare let u guys down
ReplyDeletedun live up high expectation on me... ...
cn you explain why aluminum fluoride is not soluble in water but aluminium chloride is soluble in water???
and is aluminium chloride hexahydras clear solution or white percipitate??
actually aluminium flouride can dissolve in water but it mus b hot water bcoz dissolving it is endothermic n it absorbed heat in the surrounding. If u put in cold water, it will not b solubleloh.... bcoz no heatmah....
ReplyDeleten for the last ques i not sure bout it so might as well i dont suggest here. we discuss it 2molola....
ReplyDeletehmmm..... can anyone put here the ans for the last equation regarding the aluminium trichloride n sodium hydroxide for the precipitate part n also the clear solution part..... i want to check my ans. hehehehe
ReplyDeleteis tis the ans for the equation part:
ReplyDeleteAlCl3+ 3 NaOH → Al(OH)3 + 3NaCl
n
Al(OH)3+NaOH===>Na[Al(OH)4]
pls can sumone confirm wit me
ya, u r absolutely correct
ReplyDeleteso pro... ...
hahaha
haiyo, still mr.lucas wanted ionic equation. haizzzzz.... i gv the balanced one.......
ReplyDeleteshd be ok ah, it doesnt mention whether we need to write in balanced equation or ionic equation
ReplyDeleten today's chem test is really not enough time to recheck n feel badloh
ReplyDeletetoday's chemiistry i dun even got the chance to finish it, just like 10 min for me to do the objective question eh... ... need keep thinking about the objective question... ... and one of the question he actually taught us before but i cnt remember the ans... ...damn shit
